Dear Customer In order to ensure stability in the hSo network, we need to perform essential testing of the dark fibre spans between Equinix LD8 (HEX 6/7) and Sovereign House Datacenter in Harbour Exchange, Docklands London. This is due to a suspected fibre break that has put light readings at a critical level, requiring an OTDR test to be completed by hSo engineers to assess the damage and prevent an unplanned outage. The disruption should last no more than 10 minutes per span but the service should be considered at risk for 4 hours due to the necessity of moving engineers between locations during each phase of the testing - connected customers have been contacted directly
Detailed Description of Request:
As part of our core network upgrade, we will be migrating circuits in our network.
This will mean that circuits will be taken down and moved to an alternate core port the NNI is located.
There will be a brief downtime whilst this migration takes place.
All directly affected customer have been notified separately.
Contingency/ Rollback:
All local checks will be completed on the device.
Monitoring will also be checked to ensure that services have restored.
There is no roll back solution as current core device is being terminated.
We appreciate the implications of such works and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
